The Treasure of Galapagos has been specially designed for cruising the Galapagos through fascinating routes of the islands; with efficient daily operations and minimum impact on the fragile ecosystem.
Motor Catamaran Treasure of Galapagos cruises around the great outdoors of the unparalleled archipelago of the Galapagos, where you will keep going from one surprise to the next! Each day we anchor at two carefully selected visitor’s sites and organise at least two excursions. Our balanced excursion programme (included in our cruise price!) is packed with activities to observe nature from different perspectives; as well as leisure time.
Itinerary
Itinerary A 5D/4N (Friday to Tuesday)
Day 1: Baltra - Sta Cruz
AM: Arrival at Baltra Airport
Arrival at Baltra Airport and transfer in. You will have to pay your Galapagos National Park entrance fee and your luggage will be inspected
PM: El Chato Reserve
El Chato Reserve is a protected area and official part of the Galapagos National Park. It extends from Cerro El Chato as far down as the southwestern coast of Santa Cruz Island, where females lay their eggs.
Day 2: Santiago - Bartholomew
AM: Sullivan Bay
Sullivan bay is incomparable to any other visitor’s site; setting foot at the recently solidified lava flow is like landing on the moon!
PM: Bartholomew
This tiny volcano islet is just recently born out of fire. Enter its wild romantic setting of spatter cones and craters, and see the most famous panorama of the Galapagos.
Day 3: North Seymour - South Plaza
AM: North Seymour
North Seymour is another highlight of your cruise. In the archipelago’s most extensive seabird breeding colony you can walk at very short distance past frigatebirds and blue-footed boobies
PM: South Plaza
Popular South Plaza is not to be missed! This bizarre ‘Jurassic islet’ is the best place to see the emblematic ‘Galapagos dragons’, which crawl across it.
Day 4: San Cristobal
AM: Pitt Point
Two wind sculptured tuff cones at Pitt Point constitute the easternmost end of the Galapagos and were the first sight of land of HMS Beagle with Darwin aboard.
PM: Witch Hill
Enjoy a leisurely afternoon in the lovely setting of Witch Hill’s crescent-shaped natural beach of soft powder sand.
Day 5: San Cristobal
AM: Interpretation centre
The interpretation centre just outside Puerto Baquerizo forms the engaging supplement of your cruise.
Transfer to San Cristobal Airport
Assisted by the naturalist guide and some crew members, the dinghy will bring you and your luggage to San Cristobal, where we will take the airport shuttle. Your guide will accompany you to the check-in counters in the departure hall.
Itinerary B 5D/4N ( Tuesday to Saturday)
Day 1: San Cristobal
AM: Arrival San Cristobal Airport
Arrival at San Cristobal Airport and transfer in. You will have to pay your Galapagos National Park entrance fee and your luggage will be inspected.
PM: Colorado Hill
One thing becomes clear on your visit to the Galapagos giant tortoise breeding centre on Colorado Hill: it’s hard work to save the last local giants of San Cristobal.
Day 2: Española
AM: Gardner Bay
Being one of the crown jewels of Galapagos, Española gives you the exclusive opportunity to become an eyewitness of evolution.
PM: Suarez Point
Española’s western tip is a true birdwatcher’s and photographer’s dream. Step into your very own exciting nature documentary, and take a short hike past colourful marine iguanas.
Day 3: Floreana
AM: Post Office Bay – Baroness Lookout
Bring your postcards and post them in the peculiar traditional barrel on this historic site that seems to be located at the end of the world. They might arrive home quicker than you!
PM: Cormorant Point – Champion Islet
Please don’t expect flightless cormorants here (they live exclusively in the west). Instead, you may spot Galapagos penguins from the dinghy, or a flamingo lagoon against the pockmarked backdrop of extinct tuff cones and scented palo santo bushes.
Day 4: Sta Fe - Sta Cruz
AM: Barrington Bay (Santa Fe)
Santa Fe is another crown jewel of the Galapagos, where the pale Barrington land iguana and practically every other creature are unique to the Galapagos or this island alone.
PM: El Chato Reserve
El Chato Reserve is a protected area and official part of the Galapagos National Park. It extends from Cerro El Chato as far down as the southwestern coast of Santa Cruz Island, where females lay their eggs.
Day 5: Santa Cruz - Baltra
AM: Twin Craters
In the Highlands of Santa Cruz you have a good chance of approaching Galapagos giant tortoises in their wild, natural setting!
Transfer to Baltra Airport
Assisted by the naturalist guide and some crew members, the dinghy will bring you and your luggage to Baltra, where we will take the airport shuttle. Your guide will accompany you to the check-in counters in the departure hall.
Itinerary C 7D/6N (Satuday to Friday)
Day 1: Baltra - Sta.Cruz
AM: Arrival Baltra Airport
At Baltra Airport you will have to pay your Galapagos National Park entrance fee and your luggage will be inspected.
PM: Cc. Fausto Llerena
A tour at Fausto Llerena Breeding Center you can see the tortoises of Española Island, ending in the tortoise exhibit corral. Tortoises of this corral are accustomed to humans; it is an excellent spot to be photographed with them!
Day 2: Sta Cruz
AM: Eden Islet (Santa Cruz)
El Eden is a paradisiacal tuff cone islet, just off the west coast of Santa Cruz (between Whale Bay and Dragon Hill).
PM: Dragon Hill
Thanks to the successful breeding programme Dragon Hill is still populated by the largest wild population of Galapagos land iguanas on Santa Cruz.
Day 3: Isabela
AM: Whitetip reef shark channe
This group of jagged rocky islets just off the coast of Puerto Villamil forms one of most stereotypical sites of the Galapagos.
PM: Wetlands & Wall of tears
The wetlands and brackish lagoons of Isabela are among the best places to spot aquatic, wading and shore birds.
Day 4: Isabela
AM: Moreno point
Fresh, promising greens of pioneer vegetation contrast strongly with the dead, pitch-black lava flow that once reached the ocean at Moreno Point.
PM: Tagus Cove
Tagus Cove is a historical anchorage at the northern entrance of Bolivar Channel (between Isabela and Fernandina).
Day 5: Fernandina - Isabela
AM: Espinoza Point (Fernandina)
Westernmost Fernandina harbours one of the world’s most virgin, untouched ecosystems, and is another crown jewel of the Galapagos.
PM: Vicente Roca Point
The impressive cliffs and coves of Vicente Roca Point are an excellent backdrop for a thrilling dinghy ride. Just three minutes of a degree south of the equator you can encounter a family of endemic Galapagos penguins and flightless cormorants along the shoreline.
Day 6: Santiago - Rabida
AM: Puerto Egas (Santiago)
Puerto Egas is historical, and the favourite site on Santiago for wildlife lovers; and it’s even the best place in the archipelago to observe Galapagos fur seals.
PM: Rabida
Upon landing at this remarkable red beach, you will usually be greeted by a large bachelor colony of Galapagos sea lions.
Day 7: Sta Cruz- Baltra
AM: Bachas Beach (Santa Cruz)
Strolling along its coastline, the blinding white Bachas Beach appears full of natural life. It is one of most important breeding sites for Pacific green turtles.
Transfer to Baltra Airport
Assisted by the naturalist guide and some crew members, the dinghy will bring you and your luggage to Baltra, where we will take the airport shuttle. Your guide will accompany you to the check-in counters in the departure hall.
